My name is Lawrence. 28 years ago, as I was riding my motorcycle, I was involved in an accident. I was thrown into a concrete wall and split my shoulder blade in half, destroying my rotator cuff and breaking my neck in five places. I was rushed to the hospital where I was given three options: fuse my neck, operate with the risk of becoming paralyzed or do nothing and live with the pain. I chose option 3.

     Eventually, I lost much of the function in my arm and could barely lift a coffee cup. Because of the unbearable pain, I turned to alcohol for relief. My life went steadily downhill. I've been arrested and sent to jail three times. Whenever I was sick or depressed, I drank. My drinking led to two divorces and a lot of wreckage in my life. Desparate, I came to Church on the Street for help. For a while I was afraid to let Pastor James Taylor lay hands on me because if I went down in the Spirit I feared I would re-injure myself. I was unable to even lift my arm to praise God!

     On a Tuesday after service, I came forward and Pastor James laid hands on me to pray. Immediately I felt a rush go through my body. Instantly the pain left! I later asked the Lord into my life and have committed myself to Him. Subsequently, the function and strength of my arm has been restored. Now, in worship, I am able to lift my arm and give praise to my God!! The broken pieces of my life are being brought back together. I am being restored daily.

     Thanks to this ministry, I now love my life in Him. I am now learning to love others, especially all the people here at Church on the Street. Praise God for His healing power and faithfulness!
